Marble Technologies is an authorised PECB partner — bringing internationally respected professional certifications to South African individuals and organisations in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
PECB — the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board — is a globally recognised certification body that has been building professional competence for over 20 years. It trains and certifies individuals and organisations in areas that define the future of work: information security, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and business continuity.
PECB certifications are accepted and respected in more than 150 countries. A PECB credential tells employers and regulators that you have met a rigorous, internationally benchmarked standard — not just a local qualification.
PECB's certification programmes are accredited by ANAB (ANSI National Accreditation Board) — one of the most respected accreditation bodies in the world — giving every credential the highest level of independent verification.
More than 100,000 professionals across government, finance, healthcare, technology, and industry have been certified through PECB — making it one of the most trusted names in professional certification globally.
Every PECB certification is built around internationally published ISO/IEC standards — the same frameworks that governments, regulators, and multinational organisations use to benchmark compliance and competence.
As an authorised PECB partner, Marble Technologies delivers training and certification in the two domains where demand is growing fastest — Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity.
Certifications that validate your ability to govern, implement, audit, and manage AI systems responsibly — aligned to ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI Management Systems.
Certifications that equip professionals to build, manage, and audit cybersecurity programmes based on internationally recognised standards — including ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27032.
PECB certifications follow a structured progression. You choose the level that matches your current role, experience, and goals — and advance at your own pace.
Each level builds on the previous one. You can enter at Foundation to build understanding, or at Lead Implementer if you already have relevant experience. All pathways lead to a globally recognised PECB credential.
A PECB certification is more than a piece of paper. It is a signal — to employers, regulators, and clients — that you have met a rigorous, internationally benchmarked standard.
Certified professionals consistently command higher salaries and are preferred in hiring and promotion decisions. In a competitive market, a recognised credential is a decisive differentiator.
PECB certifications are recognised in over 150 countries. Whether you work locally or aspire to global roles, your credential travels with you and is understood everywhere.
Organisations that employ PECB-certified professionals demonstrate to clients, partners, and regulators that they take AI governance and cybersecurity seriously. Trust is a competitive advantage.
Governments and regulators worldwide are adopting AI governance and cybersecurity standards. Certified professionals are better positioned to guide their organisations through compliance requirements.
PECB courses are designed for working professionals, not academics. You learn frameworks, tools, and governance approaches you can apply in your organisation the following week.
Unlike attendance certificates, PECB credentials require passing a rigorous examination. They prove that you have actually understood and can apply the content — not just that you were in the room.
PECB certifications serve a wide range of professionals. If your work touches AI, information security, data, compliance, or technology — there is a pathway built for you.
Marble Technologies handles everything — from selecting the right certification level for your background, to registering you for the training and supporting you through the examination process. Contact us to discuss which pathway is right for you.
Yes. PECB certifications are internationally accredited by ANAB and recognised in over 150 countries, including South Africa. As AI governance and cybersecurity frameworks based on ISO standards become more widely adopted by South African regulators and private sector organisations, the relevance and demand for these credentials is growing rapidly here.
Not necessarily. Foundation-level certifications are designed for anyone who works with or around AI and cybersecurity — including managers, compliance officers, auditors, and executives. Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor levels do benefit from some prior exposure to the relevant standard, but technical coding or engineering skills are not required. We can advise which level is right for your background.
A certificate of attendance confirms you were present for training. A certification confirms you passed a rigorous exam and demonstrated competence against an internationally defined standard. PECB certifications are the latter — they require passing a proctored examination, making them meaningful proof of ability that employers and regulators trust.
Training ranges from 2 days (Foundation) to 5 days (Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor). The examination is typically taken on the final day of training or shortly after. Once you pass, you apply for the credential through PECB's certification portal. The entire process from training to certified status can be completed within a few weeks.
ISO/IEC 42001 is the first international standard specifically designed for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). Published in 2023, it provides a framework for organisations to develop, implement, and govern AI systems in a way that is ethical, transparent, and accountable. As governments and regulators increasingly require evidence of responsible AI use, ISO/IEC 42001 is becoming the benchmark. Companies like AWS and others have already pursued this certification to demonstrate their commitment to ethical AI.
ISO/IEC 27001 is the world's most widely adopted standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It defines how organisations should identify, manage, and reduce information security risks. Updated in 2022, it now covers information security, cybersecurity, and privacy protection across four themes: organisational, people, physical, and technological controls. Anyone responsible for protecting organisational data — from IT managers to CFOs — benefits from understanding this standard.
